Admission Policy & Process
Common Entrance Tests like EAPCET, PGECET & ICET are conducted for admission into UG, M.Tech, MBA, MCA programmes respectively. The state govt. (APSCHE) follows centralized admission procedure for Convener Quota into various Govt. and Private Colleges.
UG Admissions: The students are admitted into four year B.Tech (UG) programmes based on two categories.
1. Category-A
2. Category-B
Category-A (Convener Quota)
70% of total seats come under Category-A seats. These seats are filled by the Convener, EAPCET by following established regulations and procedure for admission of students into various Colleges/ branches. The admission procedure is.
- Issue of notification- published in the leading Newspapers and websites http://www.apsche.org/, http://www.apeamcet.org
- Online prospectus and applications
- Submission of applications through Online
- Conducting the entrance test and publishing the results
- Preparation of consolidated Rank list
Admission procedure:
- EAPCET counseling dates and schedule is notified in the websites as well as newspapers.
- Candidates need to select the college/branch using EAPCET web counseling procedure.
- EAPCET online Web Counseling for selecting the college/branch is provided in http://www.apsche.org
Counseling:
- Verification of Certificates.
- Exercising Options to select the College/ branch through web counseling by entering the EAPCET rank, name and Hall Ticket number.
- Editing the options (to change the College/Branch).
- Seat allotment as per the merit order and choice.
- Paying the fee.
- Reporting at the College allotted.
- The admission committee monitors the entire process in order to ensure transparency.
Category-B: (Management quota):
- 30% of the total seats are under Category-B and these seats are filled by the College Management as per guidelines of APSCHE. Following a definite procedure, the Management maintains total transparency in filling the seats. The admissions are on the basis of the rank obtained in the EAPCET / marks obtained in the qualifying Examination at Intermediate or equivalent exam recognized by Board of Intermediate, A.P.
- College gives the publicity in the print, electronic media and website about the availability of seats and the criteria of admission, course wise.
- Prepares a merit list based upon the received applications.
- The list of selected candidates is displayed in the notice boards and informed to the candidates.
- All Admissions are ratified by the Govt. of A.P.
Lateral Entry:
Under Lateral Entry Scheme, there is a provision for Diploma / B.Sc. (MPC) Degree holders for admission in to II/IV B.Tech. (20% seats). The admission is based on the rank obtained in ECET conducted by APSCHE.
PG Admissions: M. Tech, MBA and MCA
Postgraduate (PG) admission is divided into two categories i.e. Category-A (70% of total seats in the Colleges/Branches) and Category-B (30% of the total seats).
Category-A:
Seats in M.Tech are filled by Convener, APSCHE based on the GATE / PGECET rank. The seats for MBA & MCA are filled by Convener, APSCHE based on the ICET rank.
Category-B (Management Quota):
30% of the seats come under Category-B and these seats are filled by the College Management as per guidelines of APSCHE by following a transparent procedure. The admissions are on the basis of the rank obtained in the GATE / PGECET / ICET or marks obtained in the qualifying Examination (B.Tech for admission into M.Tech any degree for admission into MBA & MCA).
- College gives the publicity in the print, electronic media and website about the availability of seats and the criteria of admission, course wise.
- Prepares a merit list based upon the received applications as per the orders of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
- The list of selected candidate is displayed in the notice boards and informed to the candidates regarding reporting date.
- Admitted students admission is ratified by the Govt. of A.P
The admissions (intake ranks) of various categories are reviewed every year. Students from other states are joining our college. Many foreign students are also joining our college and their strength also increasing year by year. Institution is focusing on better Training and Placement activities to improve the admission quality. Institution conducts training programmes on software and hardware to improve the employability skills. The Institution has MOUs with many renowned companies like INFOSYS, IBM, MICROSOFT, etc., to make the students industry ready.
