1. Program Educational Objectives of the PG (VLSI DESIGN) in Electronics and Communication Engineering are:

PEO1 The Graduates of VLSI Design will demonstrate their outstanding education skills that will enable them to integrate undergraduate fundamentals with the knowledge acquired to  evaluate and analyze new developments in VLSI industry.
PEO2 The Graduates of VLSI Design will strive for professional advancement to engage in perpetual learning in order to suit multi-disciplinary situations.
PEO3 The Graduates of VLSI Design will undertake a significant research or development projects, will also demonstrate their analytical skills to solve real time problems and will demonstrate their professional, ethical and social issues and show respect for diversity and global issues.

2. Programme Outcomes PO’s Objectives of the PG (VLSI DESIGN) in Electronics and Communication Engineering are:

PO1 Acquire in-depth knowledge of VLSI Design in real time applications and an ability to analyze and synthesize using existing modern tools for enhancement of knowledge in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
PO2 Analyze complex engineering problems critically; apply independent judgment for synthesizing information to make intellectual and or creative advances for conducting research on VLSI Design systems in a wider theoretical, practical and policy context.
PO3 Think originally and conceptualize methods to solve problems in VLSI, Evaluate a wide range of possible solutions to those problems and arrive at feasible, optimal solutions after considering public health and safety, cultural, social and environmental factors.
PO4 An ability to do research work in different fields in general and VLSI in particular through literature survey and experiments to apply appropriate research methodologies, analyze and interpret data, demonstrate higher order skills, contribute individually/in groups to the development of technological knowledge in VLSI.
PO5 An ability to create, select, learn and apply appropriate techniques and resources in VLSI Design systems with modern software’s like Xilinks, Synopsys, Tanner Tools  and etc. which are helpful to design and modeling of VLSI Design systems.
PO6 To consult and collaborate as a  team to do research work in VLSI Design systems and Electronics & Communication Engineering and demonstrate capacity for self management, team work, decision making based on open mindedness to achieve common goals and further the learning process for themselves as well as others.
PO7 An ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of VLSI Design which are applied in their own work, as a member or leader in a team to manage efficiently in VLSI as well as in multi-disciplinary environments after consideration of economical and financial factors.
PO8 An ability to communicate with the engineering community and with society at large, regarding VLSI Design system confidently and effectively, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation by adhering to appropriate standards, make effective presentations to  give and receive clear instructions.
PO9 To recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in lifelong learning in the area of VLSI Design independently with a high level of enthusiasm and commitment to improve knowledge and competence continuously.
PO10 Acquire professional and intellectual integrity, professional code of conduct, ethics of research and scholarship, consideration of the impact of research outcomes on VLSI Design systems and an understanding of responsibility to contribute to the community for sustainable development of society.
PO11 To identify the mistakes and examine the outcomes of one’s actions without depending on external feedback and implement the corrective measures subsequently to develop their career.

PEO2 Develop entrepreneurship skills to achieve professional success with start-ups.
PEO3 Develop attitude in lifelong learning and practice the profession with Integrity and responsibility.

 

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs) of UG Programme:

PSO1 Design and develop dedicated engineering circuits and systems using the concepts, principles and methodologies in electronics, communication and signal processing applications in relevance to industry and society.
PSO2 Use modern tools, techniques and methodologies to design, analyse and develop intelligent systems in VLSI, Embedded and modern Semiconductor technology for customized solutions.
PSO3 Appropriate principles and algorithms to implement secured communication systems for problem solving Using signals, images, information from radars and satellite, fiber optics, wired and wireless systems.

 

Programme Outcomes (POs) of UG Programme:

    PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and Engineering sciences
PO3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex Engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6 The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO7 Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO8 Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and Responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
