MSME ASPIRE Scheme (A Scheme for Promotion of Innovation, Rural Industry and Entrepreneurship)
ASPIRE Scheme was launched in 2015 to set up a network of technology centres and incubation centres to accelerate entrepreneurship and to promote start-ups for innovation and entrepreneurship in agro industry. ASPIRE scheme promotes District level Incubation and Accelerator Programme for incubation of new ideas and providing necessary support for accelerating entrepreneurship. ASPIRE Scheme also provides necessary skill set for setting up business enterprises and also to facilitate the market linkages available to entrepreneurs and to provide hand holding for a critical period to ensure self-sustainability.
Technology Business Incubation Centre (TBI)
Under ASPIRE Scheme MSME permits setting up of Technology Business Incubation Centre(TBI) , one-time grant of 50% of cost of plant and machinery other than the land and infrastructure or an amount up to INR 30 lakh whichever is less to be provided for the existing incubators to set up incubators in agro-based industries, whereas, in case of new incubation centres to be setup, one time grant of 50% of cost of plan and machinery other than the land and infrastructure of INR 100 lakh, whichever is less to be provided.
Sri Venkateswara college of Engineering and Technology (SVCET) Technology Incubation Centre (TBI)
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has sanctioned a grant of Rs. 39.98 lakh to set up a new TBI Centre in Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous). The sanctioned fund can be utilized towards plant and machinery for various innovative projects developed by the students attached to the Technology Incubation centre of the SVCET. The ministry of MSME identified SVCET for setting up an incubator centre to promote innovative ideas of engineering students, technocrats and industrialists by granting financial and technical support.
