Department Profile
The Information Technology Department is dedicated to shaping graduates into skilled professionals who are pillars of the modern information era. The department offers a robust curriculum that emphasizes problem-solving and logical reasoning, preparing students for diverse career opportunities in fields like artificial intelligence, robotics, multimedia, and networking. With a strong focus on advanced education and research, the program equips students to pursue Master's degrees at reputed universities and engage in cutting-edge research in hardware, system software, and computer engineering.
The department provides state-of-the-art facilities, including a Computer Centre with 140 systems connected via campus-wide LAN, and advanced labs such as the Computer Programming Lab, Embedded Systems Lab and Networking Lab. Equipped with modern software tools like C, C++, Oracle, Python, Alice, Tomcat, Putty, Visual studio and Java, the laboratories ensure hands-on learning and practical exposure. With its commitment to fostering innovation, adaptability, and technical excellence, the department enables students to excel in their careers and contribute meaningfully to the evolving field of information technology.
